Why use my content writing services?

Content: My Life’s Common Denominator

Over the past nine years, no matter what industry I’ve found myself in, producing great content has been the driving force - and let me tell you, I’ve worked in a diverse number industries. Employees have ranged from a team of 15, well into the thousands. With my freelance writing business, I’m now a team of one and I happily embrace the solopreneur life.

I’ve held content and communications positions within:

  • Customer Service

  • Post-Secondary

  • Government

  • Tech Start-ups

The road to success for me has not been a straight one, but rather, a winding trail of dips and turns, exploring different niches and working with different teams along the way. I like to think my non-linear path to success has strengthened my collaboration skills and helps to ensure the content I produce remains focused on customer success.

I call Vancouver, Canada home 🍁 She’s a bit rainy at times but a simple Google search of the North Shore mountains or that spectacular aerial view of the downtown core and it’s pretty apparent why everyone and their dog wants to move here.

I lived in Wellington, New Zealand for a year and a half (Kia Ora! Or Tena Koe, whichever you prefer). From that experience emerged a love for dragon boating, book clubs, prosecco, te reo and a second home with many dear friends. If I was a millionaire, I would make annual pilgrimages back to Aotearoa. Who knows, maybe it’ll happen some day.

When I’m not embracing my role as plant mother to my 20+ houseplants or going for walks, I’m likely curled up reading, watching documentaries, going on Google deep dives about the royal family or long dead musicians, finding new foodie haunts around the lower mainland, and catching up with friends.

More recently, I’ve been leaning into my new title of “big sister” to my parents’ 4 months old West Highland White Terrier, Monty - a family nickname for my grandpa, dubbed during the height of his baseball career in the minor leagues.

I acknowledge and am honored to live and work on the traditional, ancestral and unceded lands of the Katzie (q̓ic̓əy̓) and Kwantlen (qʼʷa:n̓ƛʼən̓) First Nations.
